There aren’t enough words to describe this stunning and colorful watch. The all new Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Orange Ceramic features a 24-hour GMT rotating bezel whose polished ring is made from a patent-pending orange ceramic. It has a 43.5 mm case made from brushed and polished 950-grade platinum.
Omega announced during the unveiling of the watch, that it will be limited to just 8 pieces, as creating the Seamaster Planet Ocean Orange Ceramic is a challenge due to the complexity of the watch. The words “World Premiere” engraved on the caseback, along with the limited edition number.
Increasing its stunning quotient, watch features numerals, division lines, inner ring and triangle made from 850-grade platinum Liquidmetal® on the bezel. Platinum dial with sand-blasted finish has 18 karat white gold indices and hour-minute-second hands, while 6 – 9 – 12 digits, GMT applique and the central GMT hand are in bright orange aluminium. Date aperture is at 3 o’clock. Though the view is partly obstructed on released images, “Pt950” is engraved between the “GMT” inscription and the center hole to identify the precious material of the fascinating dial.
The Seamaster Planet Ocean Orange Ceramic is driven by the OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 8615 automatic movement fitted with a Si14 silicon balance spring. Movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The GMT hand rotates once every 24 hours, this useful complication along with the rotating bezel allows for time tracking in additional time zones. The watch is water resistant up to 2,000 ft.
