For that $25,000 (£16,500) lying around your mansion, once again there is a chance to snag a Snoopy-themed Rolex. The Snoopy Bi-Metal Datejust, customized by Bamford Watch Department and their partner in crime, fashion label Rodnik Band. This is the second time two British brands got together to put Snoopy on the face of a Rolex. In September last year with their first collaboration, Bamford Snoopy Datejust in black was released as a limited edition with a $31,000 price tag. That obviously was a huge success for them, so they decided to work together a second time to release the new Snoopy Datejust, a 36 mm bi-metal with a fluted bezel.
One of the main differences between this version and the previous Snoopy Datejust version is the appearance of Snoopy’s best friend, Woodstock the bird on the customized seconds hand. Once again Snoopy’s arms work as hour and minute hands. Powered by Rolex 3135 Automatic Self Winding movement, the watch boasts 330ft of water resistance.
Bamford founder George Bamford, a Snoopy fan since he was a child was more than happy to work with Rodnik for a second time, commented “people who know me are aware that my love of all things Snoopy runs deep, so naturally I jumped at the chance to once again marry my most cherished cartoon character with my favorite creative medium.”
The new Snoopy Datejust once again is presented in a Doghouse shaped box and also includes a custom made Woodstock USB stick. The watch is a limited edition of just 25 pieces.
