Mechanically simple with nothing other than the hours and minute, the Altiplano Ultra-Thin Skeleton measures just 38 mm and 5.34 mm high. Though a simplistic timepiece, a lot of skill is required to assemble and house all the parts in an extremely thin case of this watch. Piaget has put more emphasis on geometric shapes, with clean lines and grained surfaces with no fussy flowery engraving. At the same time, Piaget kept true to its open-worked contemporary style as in other skeleton watches.

High-quality movement of the 1200S is made in-house. Attention to detail is evident with PVD coating of the bridges, grain on the surface, beveled and polished edges. A formal dress timepiece, the Piaget Altiplano Ultra-Thin Skeleton comes with a price tag of $60,000.
