What’s not to like about NYC’s yellow cabs? Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot loves them so much they‘ve created a special edition King Power in familiar black and yellow colors in ceramic to celebrate the iconic cab. Dubbed the King Power 692 Bang, the special edition is limited to just 26 pieces. One of the highlights of the watch is the sketch of the Madison Avenue boutique façade that decorates the caseback. Building 692 Madison, where the Hublot flagship is located was designed by well-known architect Peter Marino and inspired by the grand luxury townhouses of New York’s historic Upper East Side neighborhood.
The black dial features hour and minute hands and stick hour markers in yellow. Three sub dials are located at 3-6-9. The 48 mm case is made from microblasted black ceramic, titanium and rubber. Bezel is available in two color choices – black or grey ceramic. Powered by the Swiss automatic Hublot caliber HUB4100 movement, it has a power reserve of 42 hours, 28,800 vph and water resistant up to 100 meters. The King Power 692 Bang comes on a black rubber and hornback crocodile strap with yellow stitching and a black titanium buckle. A second yellow strap is included.
