Baselworld 2017 is around the corner and in the last few of weeks, luxury watchmakers have unveiled their new and upgraded timepieces. The classic Hermès Cape Cod watch belong in that updated and upgraded category. Variety is key in design, so to keep everyone happy, the French luxury goods brand added four new styles to the men’s version of the iconic square watch – Manufacture, Bicolore, Cadran laque and Bracelet de force. There is one style element that hasn’t changed – saddle stitching. This year’s Baselworld is scheduled for the week of March 23 – March 30.
This timepiece is available in a host of colors with an alligator or calf leather strap option. Powered by an in-house made H1912 movement, it features a power reserve of 50 hours, and offer the hours, minutes and seconds functions with the date at 6 o’clock. The silver dials are available in matching straps in colors Blue, Anthracite, and Black or Opaline for the tan strap.
TGM Bracelet de Force
With Bracelet de Force it is all about the cuff- style straps – 5 of them in fact in Veronese green alligator, Black alligator, Natural Barenia calfskin or Black Barenia calfskin. This also comes with a silver dial.
Powered by a Quartz movement, this piece as the name implies come with a two color smooth calfskin strap available in two color combinations Etoupe/Malta blue or Malta blue/Hermès red. It has a plain white dial.
TGM Cadran Laque
The Laque as the name suggests involves lacquer. The lacquered dial feature a raised rhodium-plated Arabic numerals, silvered transferred square minute track, and rhodium-plated hands. It comes with a 17mm Barenia calfskin leather strap and is available in Hermès red or ebony.
