German watchmakers Grieb & Benzinger are like masters of the bespoke luxury watch making universe. Remember few months ago they created this Area 51 themed skeleton watch for a 12 year old rich kid. They, at the request of another well-do client, who is also an avid collector has produced two new bespoke platinum watches based on brand’s bestselling Black Tulip.
The watchmaker has described the project as, “an ambitious watch connoisseur looking for incredible, understated skeleton watches that nonetheless proffer value and handcrafts, but in an “invisible” way.” As per customer’s wishes, they have taken the Black Tulip’s 43 mm platinum case and blackened it along with the manually wound movement. The fully skeletonized movement also feature guilloché and hand-engraved decorations. The customization gives the Centurion an understated yet luxury appearance.
The second model named, the Centurion Imperial, has a dazzling bezel pavé-set with 66 Princess cut red diamonds. Both watches are fitted with black alligator-skin strap with solid platinum buckle. As with all other bespoke timepieces, Grieb & Benzinger declined to publish pricing information.
