Yesterday at the SIHH in Geneva, Montblanc introduced their new global ambassador Charlotte Casiraghi at a star studded event. Casiraghi herself need little introduction, but I’ll do it anyway. Granddaughter of late-Princess Grace is a gifted writer who contributes to international publications and a businesswoman with a production company. However, Charlotte is well-known for another reason – she’s an accomplished equestrian, who competes in international show-jumping events.
The beauty, style and accomplishments she possess makes Casiraghi the perfect person to lead the upcoming campaign for Montblanc’s Bohème Collection. Yesterday at the VIP cocktail party and dinner held on the rooftop of the President Wilson Hotel in Geneva, Casiraghi appeared alongside Montblanc CEO Jérôme Lambert dressed to nines and accessorized in new pieces from the Bohème Collection that included watches, jewelry and writing instruments.
Event also paid tribute to the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama and celebrated his great voyage to India by sea from Europe. Rooms where cocktails and dinner held were transformed to show da Gama’s departure from the port of Lisbon, journey through oceans to his arrival in India – visually with graphic animations and real water. New timepiece range German brand presented at the SIHH, the Montblanc Heritage Chronometrie Collection is inspired by the constellation da Gama used to find his way across the ocean.
Among guests at the event were actor and director Pierre Niney, fashion blogger Adam Gallagher, and Chinese Montblanc brand ambassadors actress Guey Lun Mei and Olympic badminton champion Lin Dan.
