Mandarin Oriental, New York has announced the launch of its newest signature suite, Suite 5000. The spacious 3,300 sq ft spread is located on hotel’s 50th floor. Designed by BBG-BBGM, suite brings New York’s quintessential offerings such as fine art, fashion, and design into life in one place. The start-to-finish customization of guests stay by Guest Relations begins with the booking.
In its quest to provide guests a memorable, one-of-a-kind stay at the Suite 5000, the hotel has partnered with Whitewall Magazine to curate an exclusive year-long NYC inspired art exhibition in the suite. Artworks by contemporary artists such as Kenny Scharf, Shelter Serra, Ray Geary and Forrest Myers are on display. In-room iPads allow guests to interact with the exhibition and access information on artists and their works.
Interiors of the suite feature a color combination of elegant soft dove gray and ivory, accented with rich charcoal and black. Its floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, Central Park, and the Hudson River.
For guests who love movies, suite’s state-of-the-art media center with a 75-inch flat panel TV carries a collection of films, featuring NYC. It also boasts a music collection curated by NYC’s Academy Records, and the exclusive “Soundtrack of New York” collection, available only on in-suite iPads.
Other suite features include a dining room accented by a Swarovski crystal wall installation that can seat ten, a full-sized kitchen, and a separated fitness area with equipment customized for individual guests, a master bathroom with a large soaking tub and an oversized steam shower with great views of the Hudson River and personalized bath amenities.
