One has to treat one’s premium customers to best available perks. Etihad can’t seem to stop improving, updating and upgrading to their already gold standard services to First and Business Class passengers. Latest update, even though minor, is for the Etihad Business Class amenity kit – just the exterior design and the city guides. Everyday Etihad flies to hundreds of cities around the world, from these they chose six well-known cities to decorate the amenity kit. They include London, Madrid, Abu Dhabi, Los Angeles, Sydney, and Hong Kong.
In addition to city-inspired design, each kit will also come with a corresponding LUXE City Guide. The guides offer a host of information for travelers about the cities that include curated information about the destination’s hotels, restaurants, bars, spas, and shopping. Etihad decided to stay with London-based Scaramouche + Fandango for beauty and toiletry products. The kit will also include a sleep kit.
As you can see from the images, pouches are very colorful and their designs represent a landmark of each city. In addition to the cities on offer now, they plan to add New York, São Paulo, Rome, Melbourne, and Bangkok in near future.
The Etihad Airways press release has this to say, “The designs of the amenity kits are predominantly influenced by the architectural features of the respective cities. The Abu Dhabi kit is inspired by the intricate mosaics of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and New York by the city’s grid-like streets, avenues and iconic yellow taxis. The Colosseum and ancient stone architecture influence the Rome kit; Bangkok reflects the city’s decorative temples; the Melbourne kit takes its cue from the city’s 19th-century buildings, the Yarra river, and coastline; and the São Paulo kit reflects the commercial capital’s iconic pavement pattern and the national colors of Brazil.”
