Back in 2005 tennis stars Roger Federer and Andre Agassi exchanged few forehand shots playing a friendly tennis match on the helipad of Dubai’s ultra-luxury Burj Al Arab Hotel. In a shrewd business move, the iconic hotel is offering their helipad as a unique wedding venue in a package named Wedding in the Skies. For the 700 feet above ground ceremony hotel’s renowned in-house wedding planners are on hand to take care of everything.
Special services provided at an additional cost include arriving for the ceremony by air in a twin engine Augusta 109, or by road in chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce Phantoms, for that dramatic entrance. Couples will also have access to hotel’s designers, Dubai’s best jewelers, private after-hours access to top luxury fashion brands, beauty treatments from celebrity personal trainers, as well as private etiquette and dance lessons.
Hotel’s executive chef will be at hand if necessary to help with the wedding cake design and menu. Those who love bespoke perfumes will get to work with a perfumer to create their special wedding fragrance. The Burj Al Arab’s Wedding in the Skies package starts at $55,000.
