On January 20, 2017, or a couple of days before, Barack Obama and his family will move out from their current home – the White House. I don’t think we have to talk anything about Donald Trump and his family moving in or if it is going to be called the Trump House or Gold House, yet. For their post-White House life, the Obamas have already found a place to move in, not far away from 1600, Pennsylvania Avenue.
They will be at this place only for a short while – until their youngest daughter Sasha finishes high school. Then it is back to Chicago. Instead of buying a place outright, they’ve rented a beautiful place in quiet Kalorama neighborhood in Washington. Obama Kalorama Home has a nice ring to it.
The 1928 built house is currently owned by Joe Lockhart, former White House press secretary during Bill Clinton administration. A quite a large place it has 8,200 square feet of living area, nine bathrooms and a back garden with lots of space. It’s a beautiful place that looks like it belongs in a Harry Potter movie. Lockhart listed the place for sale with an asking $5.3 million price tag and took it off the market in May.

This is not the Oval office and Barack is not going to receive any presidential daily briefings after January 20. But he can start working on his memoir from this study.
Michelle should claim ownership of this spacious bathroom. Barack – make the basement bathroom yours.

There is lots of open space and plenty of shade to entertain guests. Perfect place for alfresco and BBQ.
