Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo know a thing or two about redecorating homes. Her restored homes in both coasts already got featured in Architectural Digest and Elle Decor a couple of times, wherein each project she worked closely with renowned interior decorators. The latest project to get showcased is Ellen Pompeo’s Sag Harbor Barn Home in this month’s Architectural Digest. To work on this converted barn home, she partnered with LA-based design duo Estee Stanley and Brigette Romanek.
As told by Ellen to the magazine, she is a big fan of the pear tree lined driveway and the stunning view of the house drive in offers. She also said: “We go to our Sag Harbor house for Thanksgiving every year. The children chase wild turkeys—they don’t get that in L.A.! And we spend some time here in the summer, in June or July”.
Stanley and Romanek furnished the place with a mix of custom pieces and antiques from the local dealers. A couple of local shops found to be their favorites – Wyeth Home in Sagaponack and Ruby Beets in Sag Harbor. For the living room, they found layered rugs at Lawrence of La Brea and had a mirror made by Hancock Design.
They also had the navy couch in the small dining area custom made by Hancock Design, while the sconces came from Circa Lighting. Ellen has a soft spot for this area of the home “I love the screened porch and to have dinner out there at night, and light a fire.”
Here is my favorite place at Ellen’s home – narrow rustic wood outdoor patio and dining area with rustic chairs, and a very solid wood looking table.
