High fashion houses doing their best to keep millennials interested and attached to their brands. This is both an easy and difficult task at the same time. For the upcoming S/S 2017 season Dior found a way to get the young crowd interested by creating a skate-centric campaign with help from Larry Clark. Named, A Larry Clark Project/Paris Session, the campaign focus on Dior Homme’s fashion codes for the younger generation – rebellious and playful.
The skateboards are a big part of this campaign, Clark used a bunch of young skateboarding models for the related video. The best part is, Dior Homme decided to do a limited edition skateboard collection using some of those boards appearing on the video. Skateboarders with an appropriate purse and love for the brand now have the opportunity to buy one of the three Dior Skateboard designs offered by the brand. They feature Dior’s iconic colors of red, black and white from FW 2016 collection.
The solid black skateboard feature subtle Dior monogram, the second board has a busy white paint-splattered print on black with Dior monogram in red. The third is all Dior – big lettering end to end against a black backdrop. There is a catch – this is a limited edition only for Singapore market. They will be available towards the end of the month at Dior’s boutique at Ion Orchard Singapore.
