Without a doubt that $25,000 Grammy goodie bag now look pale compared to the $168,000 Oscar version from yesterday. As if Hollywood royalty is not rich enough, any one of them that did a bit of attending and presenting in addition to being a nominee received a Oscar Goodie Bag – there were 21 bags in total. The bag had so much luxury stuff in it, there was something for everyone including for those who didn’t win to take home a gold-plated naked little man and needed a quick pick me up.
Once again organizing and putting the bag together fell on the shoulders of Distinctive Assets and its founder Lash Fary. He upped the ante by doubling the bag value from last year’s $80,000 to this year’s $168,000. The goodie bag is optional, it is entirely up to the celebs to decide if they want anything or not – pick one or pick all. One catch though, these gifts are taxable according to the IRS. So, there is a big chance that many celebs stayed away from the gift room yesterday.
Tax or no tax let’s have look at these gift items. To start with male celebs could’ve gone for a bottle of Dove Dry Spray antiperspirant and Dove Men+Care antiperspirant valued at not so whopping $5.49. And ladies had the choice to pick up a $36 Flickable’s vegan-friendly lip gloss. One of the priciest gift in the bag is also the most unusual, any celeb who secretly believe in horoscopes had the chance to get a reading from Olessia Kantor of Enigma Life worth $20,000 for a year. A more value for money perk also valued $20,000 came from Silvercar Audi Rentals, free for a year. Perks also came in the form of a $4,000 liposuction treatment, LED light therapy, a $250 laser vibrator and a sampling of “the world’s only luxury condom”.
Other gifts included tea-based lollipops, Ambrosia apples, Home Spa system ($5,060), a Glamping trip courtesy TerraVelo Tours ($12,500), a lifestyle makeover worth $14,239 from Reset Yourself that include hair mineral analysis, a nine-night Italian vacation package valued at $11,500 and a luxury rail trip in the Canadian Rockies worth $14,594 on the Rocky Mountaineer. They also received a $1,200 Matrone bicycle, apparels from high-end labels, shoes and 10 personal training sessions from Celebrity trainer Alexis Seletzky.
Most expensive gift on the list came from Elena Foccoli, set of custom furniture valued at $25,000. I guess it’s about time for few folks in Tinsel Town to start calling new interior designers.
