Montblanc Introduces The TimeWalker “Cappuccino” Limited Editions

TimeWalker Cappuccino

To mark 25 years of the Goodwood Festival

Recently the Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrated its 25th year. This year it was for the second year running sponsored by Montblanc. To commemorate the event’s silver anniversary Montblanc unveiled two new limited edition TimeWalker Cappuccino watches.

Both the newly released watches are vintage-inflected, a signature aesthetic that shapes Montblanc’s line-up of watches from the simplest to the top-of-the-line Minerva-powered watches. The new watches share what the brand has nicknamed a ‘Cappuccino’ dial, finished in a shade that is meant to mimic the look of vintage ‘panda’ dials that have aged from white to a tone of milk and coffee.

The first is the TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph. This watch was first unveiled in a ‘panda’ iteration in 2017. The new version too like the 2017 version has a stainless steel case of 43mm in diameter and 15.2mm in height, with decorative recesses on the lug flanks. But in this newest version, the registers and flange are dark browns, matched with a black ceramic bezel.
This watch also has an automatic column-wheel chronograph movement with horizontal coupling, offering a 46-hour power reserve. The watch’s winding rotor is in the shape of a steering wheel and is visible through its smoked sapphire case back.

The TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph ‘Cappuccino’ is a produced in a limited number of 1500 pieces and is priced at $5400.

The second watch is the entry-level TimeWalker Date Automatic. It shares the same ‘Cappuccino’ colour scheme, with a beige dial and a brown flange as the first watch. The styling of this second watch is inspired by dashboard instruments, leaving the dial with minute numbers instead of hour markers –a feature drawn from early 20th-century stopwatches made by Minerva. While this isn’t a stopwatch, the TimeWalker Date has a unidirectional rotating bezel in glossy black ceramic that can be used for keeping track of elapsed times.

The TimeWalker Cappuccino Date Automatic is produced in a limited number of 500 pieces and is priced at $2885.
