Fendi Casa has unveiled their 2014 collection at the recently concluded Maison & Objet design fair in Paris. The collection features a range that has innovative design elements borrowed from Italian luxury, aesthetics from Park Avenue and a hint of British middle class. In addition to the ongoing collaborations with the Italian design house Club House Italia and Toan Nguyen, Fendi has begun a new partnership with architect and designer Thierry Lemaire.
Extending his partnership with Fendi Casa, Toan Nguyen has added a high-backed loveseat and a sofa to the line in addition to creating a low square coffee table with dipped legs and a round base. Thierry Lemaire contributions to the Fendi Casa collection includes a diverse range that consists, the Star coffee table and the Artù chair and sofa. Taking clues from Fendi’s runway pieces, Lemaire has used luxurious fabrics such as fur to make cushions.
New colors introduced to the collection features soft French blues and deep burgundies contrasting against grays, bronzes, and quartzes. Different textures varying from an innovative two-tone cubed pattern that gives a 3D effect to metallic sheens used. Noticeable throughout the collection is the use of luxurious materials and fabrics such as ebony woods, marble table tops, ‘ruined’ jacquards, matte leathers and furs.
Fendi Casa’s main collaborator on this venture is high-end Italian furniture manufacturer Club House Italia, the same design house Bentley Home also works with for their furniture collection.
