Touring Superleggera’s Alfa Romeo Disco Volante In Green And Gold

Back in 2012 at the Geneva Motor Show Italian coachbuilder Touring Superleggera introduced the Disco Volante as a concept before getting the official endorsement from Alfa Romeo. For that car Alfa Romeo finally granted its endorsement last September to build it using existing Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione. While that approval process is in the working, Superleggera kept itself busy by working on the next model, at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show the Italian company is ready to unveil the latest example, the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante coupe.

The Alfa Romeo Disco Volante coupe exteriors has a dark British Green shade accented beautifully with gold trimmings on body and wheels. Interiors feature a primarily black dashboard with seats in primarily in gold with brown accents. Featured in a BBC’s Top Gear episode, car was seen getting lots of attention from show’s host Jeremy Clarkson.

The Disco Volante 8c Competizione’s 4.7 liter V8 engine received very minimal changes. It provides 450 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a 6-speed sequential gearbox it is capable of going from 0-62 in just 4.2 seconds. Its top speed is clocked at 181 mph.
