Last year quite a lot of Fiat special editions did rounds during fashion weeks around Europe, especially in Paris. This year another popular city car is doing the same. Daimler’s cute little Smart ForTwo is doing rounds in busiest European cities with ease for some time. Fashionistas living in these cities and have the means to buy luxury cars, find driving one in traffic-filled narrow streets is not easy. Taking this into account, German brands Smart ForTwo and Brabus collaborated to build customized fashionable urban cars with a new program named, Smart Brabus Tailor Made.
If I move to Europe I’ll be buying one of these city cars just like Veronika Heilbrunner – just not the customized version. The German native, who now lives in Paris is the first person to use the Smart Brabus Tailor Made program. Street style icon and the founder of online magazine “Hey woman!” knows a thing or two about design. For the design of her Royal Velvet Blue car, Veronica drew inspiration from product and fashion designers in Berlin, London, Stockholm, and Paris.
The Velvet Blue paint with metallic finish appears on the body panels and Tridion safety cell. The alloy wheels received a matching right royal gold finish. These colors were specially developed for Veronika, but now available for anyone who uses the Smart Brabus Tailor Made program. If you want you can even add bling to your “high fashion car”. Veronika, being the fashionista she is, asked for a signature touch – a diamond-shaped red ruby to the shift lever knob.
Until tomorrow 20, January, Veronika’s Smart Brabus will be displayed at Berlin’s Appel Design Gallery during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Afterward, she can drive her cute little car back to Paris. And for you, visit Smart ForTwo’s website to have a quick look at their range of city cars.
