Lamborghini went all wino with the type of ceremonial unveiling it gave for The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster in Abu Dhabi. If the car wasn’t outrageous enough, its showcasing sure was, on a Navy aircraft carrier. The Veneno Roadster landed on the newest warship in the Italian Navy, the MM Cavour.
Both Lamborghini and the Italian Navy is in Abu Dhabi to promote trade in the Middle East. In a somewhat outrageous way, we think they did achieve that object.
There is no shortage of Lamborghini owners and fans in the region, so it wouldn’t be that difficult to sell few of the nine Veneno Roadster’s here next year. For just $4.5 million a car, it’s just pocket change for the thrill to drive 750 hp beast under three seconds from 0 to 62. Even if you don’t get a roof for all that money, it can give you a top speed of 220 mph.
With its Batmobile design, Veneno Roadster doesn’t have any trouble outshining everyone, so it looked right at home on the aircraft carrier. Former Italian football team captain Fabio Cannavaro was at hand and on wheels for the baptism.
