It is that time of the year, where all the latest and greatest new gadgets are showcased in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show. However, Furrion, the Indiana-based technology company participating at the CES for the first time brought something unusual, that is if you are in the mood to say “all I need right now is a home on wheels.” No, not the trailer park kind but an ultra-luxury home on wheels with a helipad and a hot tub on its roof named Furrion Elysium.
Furrion is big on home appliances, and this huge luxury coach is a wonderful way to showcase them all in one place. Everything starts on the rooftop deck of the RV coach – there is a retractable mini-helicopter parked on the mini-helipad and an open-air hot tub with a lounging area next to it. When not in use during transportation the helipad can be lowered above the master bedroom. Even with all these, there is still plenty room on the roof to move about.
The Furrion Elysium dubbed the “Life of Future” feature interiors equipped with modern accessories and appliances. Among them are HDTVs, kitchen appliances, audio devices, and other products of the company you might need in your road trips are built-in the large RV. The spacious interiors also feature an indoor lounge area, kitchen, steam+ shower, smart toilet, and a comforting bedroom.
There is a lot of luxury jammed into Elysium’s living area too. The kitchen is fitted with an induction cooktop, refrigerator, microwave oven and a dishwasher. For anyone who is in a romantic mood, it also has a fancy fireplace to set the mood right.
If this floating luxury motorhome ever moves from being a display prototype to production and market it is sure to be a favorite among touring rock bands and of course the wealthy. I for one would love to go on a cross-country trip for no apparent reason on this bus. Experts in all things luxury coaches estimate a fully equipped Furrion Elysium to cost upwards $3.5 million.
