To celebrate the 57th anniversary of the original 1957 “Nuova” Cinquecento (New 500), Fiat is introducing a new limited edition model based on 2014 Fiat 500 Lounge, named 2014 Fiat 500 “1957 Edition”. The new Fiat will make its debut at Los Angeles Motor Show next week.
New retro Fiat 500 will feature five classic exterior colors of Bianco (white), or for a bi-color look, Verde Chiaro (light green) or exclusive Celeste (celestial blue) paired with a signature Bianco painted the roof and mirror caps. The main feature of 1957 Fiat Nuova, 16-inch wheels with Fiat logo makes its appearance along with wide chromed lip and body-color accent in the new edition. All weather tires come standard along with a sport-tuned suspension for better control. Completing the exteriors are the return of old fashioned “FIAT” emblem on the front and back hatch.
Interiors are a color combination of Marrone (brown), Avorio (ivory) and Grigio (grey) adding a vintage look to the car. Grigio door panels feature contrasting colors of Marrone armrests and Avorio inner panels, while leather seats and shift boot are Marrone. Avorio leather-wrapped hand-stitched steering wheel features Marrone leather in the inner ring. The car also boasts a premium FIAT speaker audio system and SiriusXM Radio. Accompanying the car keys is an exclusive key fob with Marrone casing and Avorio-painted “1957” graphic.
Powering the Fiat 500 “1957 Edition” is the 1.4-liter MultiAir engine and C514 five-speed manual transmission delivering an EPA-estimated 31 miles per gallon (mpg) city and 40 mpg highway.
Pricing for the car is not announced yet. The “1957 Edition” will begin arriving at dealerships in spring 2014.
