Japan once again bags the top spot for being the country to get yet another exclusive product. This time around its Mulliner launching a limited edition version of Bentley Flying Spur V8 S only in Japan. This special Bentley model for Japan is called the ‘Stratus Edition’ and has been custom created by the British automaker’s in-house department Mulliner known for their limited edition releases.
The Bentley Flying Spur V8 S gets its Stratus Edition name from the stratus clouds which means “stricken clouds”. The inspiration behind the name is also the reason for the two shades the car is available in – Onyx (black) and Glacier White. The Bentley Flying Spur V8 S Straus Edition also has a special treatment on the exterior which includes bespoke 21-inch tinted wheels, red brake calipers and tinted badges of Union Jack and Mulliner on the bodywork.
The exclusive Stratus Edition car’s cabin is wrapped in hand-stitched black and grey leather with purple or grey and white accents to match the color of the exterior. The center console of the cabin is made of carbon fiber panels with titanium inlays to give a sporty look and feel to the car’s interiors. Mechanically, the car is identical to the standard Flying Spur V8 S that has a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 making 521 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque.
There will be only 20 cars of the Bentley Flying Spur V8 S Stratus Edition for sale and they come with a price tag of 23.5 million yen (around $210,000 USD) each.
