German tuning wizards ABT Sportsline has unwrapped their newest creation, the Volkswagen Beetle. ABT’s upgrade kit itself received a noticeable upgrade. With the announced upgrades VW Beetle will receive aerodynamic modifications set that features – the headlight and taillight covers, new suspension springs, which are lowering the ride height by 30 mm, and two-pipe exhaust system. Customers have a choice of three paint colors for the exterior. Wheel size options include 18 to 20 inches with high-performance tires.
Modifications available for the gas 2.0 TSI engines includes standard 200 hp (206 lb-ft) getting a boost to 240 hp (251 lb-ft), and 1.4 TSI getting bumped to 140 hp (162 lb-ft) from the stock 105 hp (129 lb-ft).
Diesel engines are not left behind, their upgrades include a bump for the 2.0 TDI 170 hp (273 lb-ft) from and 125 hp (210 lb-ft) for the 1.6 TDI.
ABT Sportsline is yet to announce pricing for the upgrade package.
