Fiat 500 may not be the manliest car in the world, but the carmaker has made an effort to transform it to the needs of the American male species. 2014 Fiat 500c GQ Edition is the result of that effort. Fiat, in collaboration with GQ publisher Condé Nast, has unveiled the 2014 Fiat 500c GQ Edition at the recently concluded Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach, Calif. Small but efficient 2014 Fiat 500 GQ Edition has a stronger front end with larger air intakes, this gives the car a more masculine look. To woo the more style conscious metrosexual, Fiat 500 comes with 16-inch split five-spoke black and red aluminum wheels and dark-tinged headlamps and taillights, thus adding a racecar look and feel.
Giving emphasis to the GQ collaboration, GQ Magazines logo is embossed on the seatbacks. To make 500c GQ Edition stand apart from the standard 500, interiors are accented with satin chrome. Equipped with a 160-horsepower, turbocharged, 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo 4-cylinder engine, the car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 7.5 seconds. The five-speed manual transmission comes standard. Another upgrade is the cloth drop-top, this can be opened or closed if the car is traveling slower than 50 mph.
The Fiat 500c GQ edition available in four exterior color options: Nero, Bianco (white), Argento (silver), and Granito Lucente (granite crystal). Fiat says the 500c GQ Edition will be available starting in early 2014. Pricing isn’t available.
