Time to hurry up and make your reservation for your Valentine’s Day Afternoon Tea at Rosewood London. A couple of weeks ago Rosewood Hotel unveiled an art-inspired afternoon tea to celebrate two things – London’s vibrant, beautiful and unique art scene, and five of its recognizable artists – Yayoi Kusama, Alexander Calder, Mark Rothko, Damien Hirst and Banksy.

Served at Rosewood London’s stunning Mirror Room, the mouthwatering afternoon tea consists of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and loose leaf teas accompanied by art-inspired pastries, created by Executive Pastry Chef, Mark Perkins. Champagne is available on request for an additional charge.

The finger sandwich fillings include Maldon smoked salmon, cream cheese, and lemon; Le Madru Ham, Comté, and wholegrain mustard; Coronation chicken, curry, and sultanas; Avocado, tomatoes, and basil; Egg mayonnaise and chives.

Mark Rothko is a layered coconut sponge, raspberry, coconut mousse pastry decorated with raspberry chocolate and book ended with biscuits.

Alexander Calder’s famous Calder Mobile is the inspiration for this red spongy cake. Other ingredients include pistachio bavarois, cherry jelly, pistachio sponge sprayed with red chocolate.

Next up is a current top name in British art, Damien Hirst. His is a white chocolate tart with cassis jelly, yuzu curd decorated with famous Hirst dots.

Banksy, yes the world famous Banksy. He is being honored with a chocolate cube filled with vanilla cream choux, salted caramel, and chocolate cremeux.

This yellow and brown pastry is inspired by artist Yayoi Kusama and includes milk chocolate mousse, passion fruit cremeux with chocolate set on chocolate sable biscuit.
