VeryFirstTo and great food lover’s publisher GreatBritishChefs.com has got together to offer the Most Romantic Valentine’s Day Dinner ever. Assisting them in preparing this great romantic meal is non-other-than Michelin-starred British Chef Adam Simmonds. This not only is the most romantic dinner ever, but also the most expensive meal too. To have this dinner prepared at your home will cost you £61,000 or about $100,000.
The eight-course menu described by VeryFirstTo as “aphrodisiac-infused culinary experience” features exquisite dishes such as Native Oysters with Almus White Caviar, Confit Foie Gras and Smoked Eel, Rissotto with Carabineros Prawns, Saffron and Gold Leaf, Wagyu Beef, Fermented Celeriac, Hops and Silver Leaf. The final course of the meal giving a sweet send-off is Vanilla and Smoked Chocolate with Kopi Luwak (coffee increases the pleasure sensors in the brain, we are told) Ice Cream.
How do you wash this extravagant dinner down – an exceptional wine menu selected by wine merchants Corney & Barrow is ready for the task. The wine list itself cost around $50,000 and includes rare wines such as a 1990 La Romanee-Conti, Domain de la Romanee-Conti ($27,700) to accompany the risotto. A very special 1959 Salon Blanc de Blancs ($5,800) will be served with the oysters, complete with South Sea pearls.
What else is included with the $100,000 price tag? Flower petals, scented candles, doves, a harpist, and a poet also. If you live in and around London with an appropriate bank account you are in luck. But you have to hurry up a bit, because cut-off date to reserve this lavish dinner is February 11th, that is less than a week from today. VeryFirstTo also want to inform everyone if there is a purchase, they plan to donate £1,000 (approx. $1,700) to the Prince’s Trust.
