Four of five Saturdays are going to be special days at the Tosca at Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong next month. To celebrate its Italian heritage, Tosca has decided to do something very un-Italian and offer something very English – afternoon tea. The Red Afternoon Tea complete with delicacies and treats prepared by its Michelin star Chef Pino Lavarra and his team pays tribute to one of Italy’s iconic brands – Ferrari. The Red Afternoon Tea is based on the Italian automaker’s recently introduced the Ferrari Junior Collection – an exclusive line created for Asia.
Ferrari’s home base Maranello not only famous for its famous fast carmaker but also for Parma ham and parmesan cheese. Both these appear in the tea’s grissini stick, parmesan pop and saffron rice wheel. Ferrari-inspired mouthwatering sweets and pastries created in collaboration with Executive Pastry Chef Richard Long include the checkered flags, the faux wheels and the car key made from white chocolate.
Also part of the menu are scrumptious panna cotta with red berry compote, red fruit macarons, blood-orange sphere, strawberry pistachio tartlet and cannoli with raspberry mascarpone cream. A glass of NV Ferrari Brut Rosé and a collection of special teas and coffees are also part of the menu.
Priced HK$480 (about $62) per person, the Red Afternoon Tea will be available on August 8, 15, 22 and 29, 2015 at Tosca located on level 102 of the Ritz-Carlton. For reservations call (852) 2263 2270 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
