Ralph’s Coffee, that’s the name of newly opened coffee shop at Polo Ralph Lauren flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York. Big and small businesses alike diversify and expand in every imaginable way to pad their profit margins. Opening a coffee shop at their high traffic flagship store is a smart move, the design house is certain to increase their income by selling more products by keeping customers in the store while taking a coffee break. Located on the second floor, interiors of the coffee shop are decorated in classic American style with mosaic-tiles, polished wood and white interiors.
The coffee shop has seating for 22 customers and serves Ralph Lauren’s private La Colombe coffee blends made with organically-grown beans from Central and South America and Africa. For hungry fashionistas they offer a selection of snacks and sweat treats (yummy brownies anyone!) to munch with coffee along with teas and juices for health fanatics. If you want to take home mementos from your trip to Polo flagship store they sell mugs, caps and t-shirts decorated with the distinctive green and white Ralph’s Coffee logo.
“The smell of freshly brewed coffee evokes so many memories for me,” says Lauren, “mostly of time spent with friends and family, the people I love.” As such he wants the café to become “a place where people can come together and take a break from their busy days”.
This however is not the first involvement of Ralph Lauren in catering. American designer already has two restaurants in his Paris and Chicago stores with a third named Polo Bar to be opened soon next to the Polo flagship store.
