I want one. We all want one. Next week, February 22nd to be exact is the day we proudly celebrate National Margarita Day. We have to use any excuse out there to drink a margarita most days.When there is a special day just for margaritas, better grab it by both hands – not just to drink but to eat margaritas too. The Bodega Negra, a Mexican eatery in Manhattan’s Dream Downtown Hotel is celebrating the day in a big way with a $500 pizza, officially named the Platinum “Margarita” Margherita Pizza.
The special pizza was created by Bodega Negra’s chef, Michael Armstrong “We’ve carried Patrón’s Gran line for years and love the flavor of each expression, so [we] wanted to use it to blend the flavors in this dish for something truly special,” Armstrong said. The Patrón Gran infused pizza toppings include a great combination of lobster, mango, and avocado. Armstrong wanted these ingredients to mix well with each other as well as with the Patrón.
The Platinum “Margarita” Margherita Pizza is available between now through February 22 for pizza aficionados to give it a spin at their Tequila Warehouse.
