We have seen Cinderella movie inspired window displays at Harrods, slippers from Swarovski and makeup from MAC, time has come for someone to take the next step. Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London is now serving Cinderella Afternoon Tea, inspired once again by Disney’s Cinderella movie. Served at Jumeirah CT’s famous Chinoiserie, the mouthwatering fare created by Executive Head Pastry Chef Stephan Will feature both savories and sweets that would keep everyone’s taste buds happy.
If you happened to be in the area stop by at the Chinoiserie to enjoy Cinderella Afternoon Tea. Available until May 11, 2015 and they will be serving tea daily from 3pm to 6pm. In addition to food, there is also music to enjoy, Disney songs played by a harpist nearby. The menu according to the hotel will deliver “a plethora of eclectic flavors”, all inspired by the movie.
You can start things off with a glass of champagne and strawberries. Then comes the savory treats such as the roast Scottish beef, watercress and creamed horseradish sandwich. Afternoon tea staple, warm scones are served with jam and cream.
The all-important sweets menu include a pumpkin carriage made from Yuzu macaron and a delicious looking Mango tull slipper that is light and fluffy. Then there is the Raspberry mousse (mice!), a Dulce chocolate clock topped with cream and a cherry and a white chocolate brownie. There is no Cinderella without a magic wand, the sweets menu is completed by a popping candy wand.
