In the past few years The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong has made a name for itself by offering culinary masterpieces. And keep in mind there is no shortage of gourmet dining options in Hong Kong. Their latest offering introduced couple of days ago is Almas Caviar Bar. In every sense of the word this is an exclusive affair, located on Level 102 it comes with seating for just seven guests and offers an intimate experience. Named after premium Almas Persicus caviar found in the Acipenser Persicus sturgeon of the Caspian Sea, Almas Caviar Bar will be Asia’s only official retailer of the pricey caviar.
Five other top brand caviars Prunier, Tradition, Paris, Heritage and Oscietra Classic are also part of the selection on offer. The caviar selection has many options for guests, they come in different colors, sizes and flavors. In addition to traditional side dishes they serve such as blinis, crème fraîche, chopped red onions, egg white and lemon wedges, the trendy food bar allow its diners to order their own delicacies.
Caviar is not the only delicacy on the menu. Balik salmon, sourced from the Barents Sea above Norway takes its place in the form of a fillet. This prime black fillet named Fillet Tsar Nikolaj No 1, not surprisingly is said to be a favorite of the last Tsar of Russia, Nicholas II. To wash it all down Almas Caviar Bar offer a selection of best champagnes and vodkas in the world including Caviar House Champagne Brut, Caviar House Champagne Rosé and Beluga Vodka Classic.

The beautiful interiors of the Almas Caviar Bar feature dark wooden flooring and leather furnishings. There is also a four-meter-subtly-lit chandelier that delivers soft light to the interiors – perfect setting for a romantic rendezvous. The bar is open daily from 5pm to 11pm. Pricing depends on what you order. Almas Persicus caviar alone costs HK$ 56,000 ($7,225.00) and require to order one month in advance.
