The love story between Michelle Williams and Louis Vuitton continues. For the upteenth time (fourth consecutive season) American actress is fronting French fashion brand’s handbag advertising campaign. Anyway she is not showing off Nicolas Ghesquière’s mini-trunks in the new campaign shot by famed photographer Peter Lindberg. Instead, Williams is introducing the new Volta bag in addition to reminding everyone about the ever so beautiful Capucines. The Volta feature lots of design DNA from the Capucines including soft Taurillon cowhide and hardware. The messenger style Volta is offered in only one size measuring 11.8 x 11.0 x 5.1 inches. It is available in four pleasing colors Kaki (a neutral taupe), Coquelicot (a vibrant red), Petale (a blushing pink) and Noir (black).
Even though the bags are colorful, in the ads Williams portrays a dark, moody character. She is sporting black clothes – jeans, pants and blouses along with the Volta and Capucines. Louis Vuitton calls the Volta a perfect bag for “women who appreciate luxury but also love the on-trend allure of a messenger bag.”
The Volta’s front flap features Louis Vuitton’s familiar LV fastener covered in matching leather. It also sports a top handle and a detachable handle, offering multiple options to carry it. The bag has enough room and compartments to carry your daily essentials, be it work or travel. The Volta retails for $4,300 and available online at louisvuitton.com and at stores.
