Louis Vuitton does not plan to forget its humble beginnings. Monsieur Vuitton packed trunks for the French court back in the 1850’s. They sure have moved far away from those beginnings, and now only hobnob with the jet-set crowd in itself should be an inspiration to any aspiring economy-class traveler. Nevertheless, to honor Monsieur Vuitton’s work, Louis Vuitton’s pop-up shop L’Aventure in Paris now teach travelers the “Art of Packing” to maximize their Louis Vuitton luggage space and how to fold items properly. Teaching includes online lessons on YouTube, so we too can learn without traveling far from the desk.
L’Aventure pop-up shop was opened last month at Avenue Montaigne and will stay open to the public until 31st December. The pop-up shop is a collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Monocle founder Tyler Brûlé’s branding and design agency, Winkreative. Tyler Brûlé’s grand plans include putting Monogram canvas in every traveler that pass through airports, cruise terminals and train stations through the sale of luggage and travel accessories at the pop-up shop. Other services provided at the pop-shop include personalization, repairs and after sales service.
