A Collection of LV Bags that Mix Football with Fashion
In celebration of the 2018 Football World Cup in Russia, Louis Vuitton has unveiled three unique ventures with their Louis Vuitton FIFA World Cup Collection.
Number one is that; like it has been the case since 2010, Louis Vuitton has been commissioned once again this year too to create the special case that will hold the Official FIFA World Cup Trophy.
The other two ventures are completely new projects: an official Adidas match ball collection trunk and an officially licensed product collection.
The third venture, the officially licensed product collection is an entire leather goods collection inspired by the official match ball of the 1970 FIFA World Cup. This collection encompasses a refined yet playful football-inspired style manifesting itself in Keepall bags, Apollo bags and a selection of some other smaller leather pieces. On each item of this collection, a logo unique to FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 has been embossed with the initials ‘L.V’. This imprinted logo is reminiscent of a football team’s crest.
The “Made-to-Order” Keepall bags come with an air of exclusivity as they showcase eight pentagon hues, associated with the colors of almost every FIFA participating nation. To add to this the Keepall is complemented by an Epi leather luggage tag which can be personalized with any of the 35 FIFA participant flags.
Like the Keepall bags, the majority of the items in this LV collection are offered in three colorways, each constructed from Louis Vuitton’s iconic Epi leather. Reminiscent of a classic soccer ball, the hexagon design is a testament to LV’s age-old tradition of presenting sophisticated ‘à la mode’ leather collectibles.
This Louis Vuitton FIFA World Cup Collection official licensed product line will be up for grabs from 14 June to end of July 2018 at 50 Louis Vuitton stores around the world and at LV’s exclusive online store.
